  • Publisher: Jennifer Malone Wright
  • Publication date: 1/15/2012
  • Format: eBook
  • Genre: Paranormal YA

I have such mixed feelings about this book, I don't know how to explain it.

The plot is decent, and pretty original. Here's the excerpt for it:

In this special collector’s edition of The Vampire Hunter’s Daughter, you will find the complete works of parts I, II, and III and you will discover the world of the vampire hunter’s which Chloe Kallistrate is unwillingly thrust into.

Okay, my main issue with this book is the lack of romance. Which I know sounds ridiculous. But ya'll know what a big romance fan I am....I need that in a book. So, I believe the character Drew is going to be the future love interest for Chloe, but that's just because they are similar ages and the only boy she interacts with. They don't really flirt, and to be honest, Drew is kind of a jerk.

Chloe does think Drew is hot, but that isn't enough for Romance obsessed people like myself to go off.

That said, I like how this show's the opposite side to a vampire book. As in, the people who HUNT the vampires...I really like that aspect. Also, the book immediately started with the death Chloe's mom, which made it very action packed an exciting. It isn't a boring book and you do want to see what happens to Chloe...and if she is ever captured by her evil vampire father.

Chloe I like because she doesn't wallow in her issues, rather she tries to do something. She is a strong, independent character, which I love!

The book in total is only 80ish pages.. which was kind of disappointing. More like a novella.

Still, I may continue reading this series just to see what happens!

    1. Same! I need romance to function. Pathetic, I know, but honestly if there was more romance in this book I would be recommending it to everyone!
